Groups focus on applying modern biology such as genomics, proteomics, pharmacogenetics ... into pharmaceutical design. The group has successfully carried out many research projects for influenza A and type II diabetes.
Main research directions:
(1) Clarify causes of drug resistance and design new drug, vaccine using bioinformatics approach.
(2) Development of new drugs from rich herbal sources in Vietnam.
The novelty in the group's study is the application of a modern pharmaceutical development process, which combines multiple methods at once, like “in silico” (computer simulation) with “in vitro” (in test tubes) and “in vivo” (on animals).
